Note: This is my family. Missing here is my uncle Mario Ayala Puig, and my father, Raul Ayala Sanchez. The Family of Florencio B. Sanchez and Petra Ayala should have been PUIG. Florencio was born out of wedlock to Juan Puig and Merced Benaides in 1884. Florencio chose not to carry the Puig name.My uncle Mario changed his name to Puig back in the late 1940's. As a result of a DNA test with my cousin, Raul " Chacho" Puig I changed my last name to Puig on September 11, 2003.
This family lived in Kerrville, Texas, however, Florencio lived the last 20 years of his life in Corpus Christi, Texas.1,2 He was the son of Joan Joseph Ignací Puig and Merced Benavides.1 Florencio Sanchez married Petra Ayala, daughter of Pablo Ayala and Francisca De Leon, on 21 July 1894; civil marriage.1,3 Florencio Sanchez appeared on the census of 9 April 1930 at Kerrville, Kerr, Texas.4 He died in December 1962 at Kerrville, Kerr, Texas, at age 78.1,2
