     John Seals was born on 5 April 1843 at Claiborne, Tennessee.1 He was the son of William Seals and Elizabeth Strevels. John Seals married Susannah Keck, daughter of David Keck and Samantha (?), on 29 April 1866 at Aurora, Madison, Arkansas. John Seals appeared on the census of 17 August 1870 at Kings River, Madison, Arkansas.2 He died on 29 October 1923 at age 80.3
