HOOPESTON - Alva L. Hawthorne, 84, of Hoopeston died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday (May 8, 2001) at Department of Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. Pastor Bud McMasters and the Rev. Frank R. Laci will officiate. Burial, with military rites, will be in Amity Cemetery, near Goodwine.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.4
